Leticia Barth Lenard, DaTerra Kitchen

When asked recently what food means to her, DaTerra Kitchen Owner and Chef Leticia Barth Lenard said with joy and warmth in her voice, “food means family, friends, connection, celebration and laughter. It also means passion, creativity and love.”

It is no surprise that those words flowed so naturally. Since childhood, she came to embody those traits as the result of a natural progression of culture and culinary wisdom passed on from both her grandmother and mother. Those gifts became the foundation for her life’s work.

Owning and operating her first restaurant in her hometown in Brazil at age 16, she was mentioned in the local newspaper with great reviews.

Since coming to America a few years later, she worked hard and eventually established an authentic Brazilian restaurant in the South Bay of Los Angeles.

During the 10 years that she both managed and cooked as the Head Chef, the small and humble eatery became somewhat of a second home for many of the local residents. With great food and great vibes, it was hard to go wrong. As the result, both popularity and success came steadily and consistently.

Not wanting to limit herself to Brazilian fare and the restaurant business model, Leticia expanded her repertoire and creativity. She created DaTerra Kitchen to include a variety of different menu options, that she would implement over the years by catering for parties and corporate events for the likes of Sony, among others.

Now, in the spirit of gatherings to connect and celebrate, Leticia has expanded further to include the charcuterie boxes, wood boards and custom grazing tables that are available here.

Whether you’re looking for the perfect gift or you want a party or event done right, whereby leaving a delightful impression on your guests, Leticia and DaTerra Kitchen have you covered!
